Job Summary:
StarTech Networks is seeking a highly driven Sales Executive (Hunter) to aggressively grow new business across enterprise, hyperscaler, telecom, and large commercial customers in the United States. This role is focused on new logo acquisition, opening doors, creating opportunities from scratch, and closing net-new revenue.
The ideal candidate is a pure hunter with a strong understanding of telecom infrastructure, wireless & wireline networks, data centers, fiber engineering, and IT services, who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Job Role: Sales Executive / Business Development Executive โ Infrastructure & Technology
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development (Core Focus)
- Identify, prospect, and close net-new customers across enterprise, telecom, hyperscaler, and large commercial segments
- Drive the entire sales lifecycle: lead generation, discovery, solutioning, proposal development, negotiation, and closure
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities through proactive outreach, cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events
- Open doors with CXOs, IT leaders, Network leaders, Engineering heads, Operations leaders, and Procurement teams
Solution Selling
- Sell StarTech Networksโ portfolio of services, including but not limited to:
- Wireless & Wireline Network Services
- Fiber Engineering, OSP/ISP & FTTx services
- Data Center Engineering, Deployment & Operations
- Telecom Engineering & Field Services
- Infrastructure & IT Professional Services
- Understand customer pain points and position customized, value-driven solutions aligned with business and operational needs
- Collaborate with delivery, engineering, and operations teams to build winning technical and commercial proposals
Market & Relationship Development
- Develop deep understanding of target verticals such as Telecom, Technology, Data Centers, Enterprise IT, and Infrastructure Services
- Establish StarTech Networks as a trusted partner, not just a vendor
- Build long-term relationships that can scale from initial projects to multi-year engagements and master service agreements (MSAs)
Revenue & Performance Ownership
- Own and consistently achieve individual revenue targets and new logo goals
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline tracking, and activity reporting through CRM tools
- Provide regular updates on market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback
Required Qualifications
- 7โ15+ years of experience in B2B sales / business development within:
- Telecom services
- Infrastructure services
- IT services / professional services
- Proven track record of hunter-style sales success with clear examples of:
- New logo acquisition
- Cold-start opportunities
- Large deal closures
- Strong understanding of telecom and infrastructure ecosystems (wireless, wireline, fiber, data centers, IT infrastructure)
- Ability to sell complex, services-based solutions rather than commodity products
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills
- Comfortable operating independently with minimal oversight
- Willingness to travel as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing network of enterprise, telecom, or hyperscaler contacts
- Experience selling services to Tier-1 telecoms, large system integrators, data center operators, or Fortune 1000 companies
- Experience working with delivery-heavy organizations where execution quality matters
- Familiarity with MSAs, SOWs, rate cards, and services contracting models
